Element II: Family Management

bottom line

It makes good sense not to have unescorted visitors in our home. If you are expecting visitors, please request permission and let another Family member know when they arrive.

Unfamiliar Visitors

Many people will come to visit our home whom we have never met before. They will be professionals like delivery services, or individuals soliciting donations for a worthy cause.

While we always want to show respect and hospitality to everyone who comes to our home, we must also exercise caution and prudence to keep our house and family safe from intruders who's intentions toward us could be harmful.

Most people who will come to visit us are honest and gentle people. But it is not always easy to know if someone's intentions toward us are good or bad. So let's follow a few basic guidelines to keep us friendly towards others but safe.

  1. Never open the door to an unfamiliar visitor. Always tell a Family member who is in charge.

  2. Always be sure to lock doors when you are in the house. It is a good habit to learn.

  3. Never answer the door and tell an unfamiliar visitor you are alone. If you are alone do not answer the door. They will come back again another time.
