Systems

Element V: Tools for Living

bottom line

Systems can take on many forms and be used in a variety of ways as tools of the craftsperson. For example, time organizers or daily diaries/agendas are systems for organizing the use of your time and information to help you make the most of your day. Filing systems for documents and other important items are another form of systems.

A system can also be a set of procedures or a particular method of performing certain activities in order to achieve a desired outcome. For example, the Suzuki method of music instruction is a particular system to learn to play a musical instrument.

Systems are an important part of the craftsperson's tool box. Systems should be carefully selected and properly used and maintained.

Keep a list of your most important systems here in the Tool Box for easy quick reference whenever you need it.
