Machines & Equipment

Element II: Family Management

bottom line

Use of Family equipment or tools is a personal benefit as a member of our Family. Because it is Family property, and not your personal property, you must have approval before removing the equipment or tools from our home or workshop area.

You must understand that our Family is responsible for personal injury to anyone caused while using Family property such as tools and equipment. As a Family member, you accept full responsibility for any and all injuries or losses which occur, or for the malfunction of equipment. You are responsible for returning the equipment or tools in good condition, and you agree that you are required to pay for any damages that occur while using the equipment or tools for personal projects.

It is your responsibility to use equipment and machines wisely. Good care of any property that you use, as well as the conservative use of supplies is good craftsmanship.

If you find that a machine or a piece of equipment is not working properly or in any way appears unsafe, please notify someone immediately so that repairs or adjustments may be made. Under no circumstances should you start or operate a machine you deem unsafe, nor should you adjust or modify the safeguards provided.

Safety Rules for Machines & Equipment

You are expected to work safely, to observe all safety rules and to keep the premises clean and neat. Remember never carelessly endanger yourself or others. Let's keep a clean, safe and healthy place to work.
