Sincerely,

The Introduction: This explains why LIFECRAFT as created.

Parts 1, 2, & 3: Together these 3 sections frame the basic premise; the idea of life as a learned craft, that the "craft" has an identifiable personality -- LIFECRAFT, and that it has a definable structure comparatively based upon the existing and well known structures of other trades, crafts and professions.

Part 4: Presents the physical time frame in which the craft will be studied. Similar to the average 4 calendar years of study to acquire a college baccalaureate, LIFECRAFT is studied across 4 distinct periods of time, some periods or phases lasting up to two decades more or less.

Part 5: Presents the underlying philosophy of this field of study. Many schools, colleges and universities are established upon a particular philosophical foundation which governs the study and practice of the skills acquired at the institution. The principle of craftsmanship is the foundation upon which the practice of LIFECRAFT is built.

Part 6: Attempts to offer a model by which you can introduce the practice of LIFECRAFT into your everyday life. It considers the philosophy of craftsmanship and how it can be looked at, talked about and experienced.
Part 7: Describes the structure of the Life Planner itself. How it is organized, how to customize it and how to use it. It also includes some tips and tools to help explain what it is and how and why you'd like to use it together as a family, as well as alone as individuals.

Part 8: Presents this Companion Guide in its role as a measuring tool like a ruler, or a compass. The idea being that when a craftsperson builds something, they are always measuring and re-measuring their work to make sure it is not out of alignment and proceeding true to plan. This Companion Guide is your measuring tool to help you check how you are using the Life Planner itself, and how you are actually practicing life as a craft. The goal being; "to craft a masterpiece of your life".
