Element V: Tools for Living

The sound of the human voice, the sound of music, the sounds of nature and the universe. Audio tapes, records, compact disks, all these tools record or capture sound.

As books are to the sense of sight, the audio tools of sound bring knowledge and delight to the inner most parts of your being. In fact it has been said that; "music is the natural language of the soul".

To use audio tools skillfully, you must cultivate the skill of listening. Hearing and listening can be very different. Hearing is to acknowledge the presence of sound whether it is someone speaking to you or music in the air.

Listening is understanding. Understanding is one of the highest values of a craftsperson.
